Making the most of the fantastic weather today for a Portraiture Shoot outside of London in the Hertfordshire Countryside. This is Georgina Howell, she is the Environmental Manager at Affinity Water Ltd.
Great times and enjoyable event photography…I had a night in the Natural History Museum shooting an awards ceremony and a day at the Sofitel at Heathrow…I was very well fed and watered!
It was lovely to meet George ‘Bill’ Lockey for an editorial portrait shoot outside of London this weekend for Hallmark Living Magazine…Bill, a 96 year old World War Two veteran had a knack for survival, and a steadfast positivity on life, he was a really interesting person to photograph and an absolute gentleman to boot.
I met the lovely Dr Margaret Rooney at the CQI photo studio in London today in order to take her photograph for an editorial piece for Quality World Magazine. I was able to use my Godox 600 Pro light for the first time as the main light source and I must say it coped very well during the portrait session, producing consistent colour balance in all of the edited portraits.
Thank you to the lovely staff at The Raj Hotel in Victoria today for sorting out an outside space for us to shoot some portraits of the Management Team of Dimension Data at such short notice. We got some lovely ambient light shots in the hotel courtyard when it was decided that the room we were to shoot the portraits in was too small.
At the Ritz Hotel, London, with my new chum Yuri, celebrating his 30th wedding anniversary with his beautiful wife Natalie. The Ritz kindly allowed us to make an impromptu shoot on the main lobby staircase and for the time pressure we had we thought we captured some really natural portraits!
On a photo assignment at Gartner Ltd, Egham, today, my task to photograph 118 corporate portraits in a 40 minute lunch break. A quite liberating photoshoot in that one had to ditch the niceties and get down to business, reminded me of my old portrait studio days at Covershots International!

Filming today…it is primarily a short film case study for the Mount Pleasant residential development in London, formerly part of the Royal Mail sorting office. The film included stills as well as short interview testimonials in locations around the site in East London, we got lucky with the weather, barmy!
A thoroughly enjoyable little editorial photoshoot for Hallmark Care Homes on the creator of the Beanz Meanz Heinz slogan, Maurice Drake, who penned it in a Camden pub over 35 years ago. Photographed at the Maycroft Manor Carehome in Brighton.
The Annual School Takeover at Dulwich Picture Gallery, shot over four days of organised mayhem. The kids take over the gallery space to present classes in printing, while in the gallery they tell stories and take members of the public around the space. The Kids were great to photograph and really did add to the enjoyment of shooting this event.
David Leam, London First’s infrastructure director responded to this and said:
“There is simply not enough room on our railways for the millions of people who rely on a train for their daily commute. Next month’s engineering works at Waterloo will provide a short term fix but it risks being only a sticking plaster. The government must plan for the long term and deliver on projects like Crossrail 2, otherwise we face further delays, station closures and, for commuters lucky enough to get onto a train, they’ll be crammed in like sardines.”
