…one gets to see all manner of building interiors . Today I was at the International Maritime Organisation, London, to take a Portrait of Tatjana Krilic for a CQI Editorial. I have walked past this building on Albert Embankment many a time, it’s the one with a seven metre high Bronze Bow of a ship protruding from the entrance of the building, it’s known as The Seafarers Memorial, however, I have never been inside. As you can imagine its interior holds many references to ships and general maritime fare. One thing that caught my eye on my reccy for suitable backgrounds to Photograph against was this huge lighthouse optic from Orfordness Lighthouse. It was decommissioned in 2014 having been in service for 99 year, and what a beauty she was, and fantastic to ping a light through to produce an interesting Portrait.
Here we have a little editorial photoshoot for Quality World Magazine. This was fantastic location for the shoot, the client had just moved into the building and the design and lighting were highly conducive in the production of good editorial portraiture.
I met the lovely Dr Margaret Rooney at the CQI photo studio in London today in order to take her photograph for an editorial piece for Quality World Magazine. I was able to use my Godox 600 Pro light for the first time as the main light source and I must say it coped very well during the portrait session, producing consistent colour balance in all of the edited portraits.
