I think it may be time to enter the Mirrorless Camera Market, I like Sigma as a brand, their Art Lenses are fantastic, I own the 85mm 1.4 and I must say its one of my favourite lenses for portraiture. The Sigma fp seems to follow their ethos for attemtion to detail, and the video capabilities of this camera puts it at the topof my shopping list!
Here is the final edit of a video we shot for Bouygeus UK and FIS. The case study involved a series of interviews with Bouygeus UK site managers who were asked to outline why they had chosen FIS as a supplier and partner in this development in Central London. Along with the video we also photographed a number of employee portraits, as well as product detailing.
I met the lovely Dr Margaret Rooney at the CQI photo studio in London today in order to take her photograph for an editorial piece for Quality World Magazine. I was able to use my Godox 600 Pro light for the first time as the main light source and I must say it coped very well during the portrait session, producing consistent colour balance in all of the edited portraits.
Thank you to the lovely staff at The Raj Hotel in Victoria today for sorting out an outside space for us to shoot some portraits of the Management Team of Dimension Data at such short notice. We got some lovely ambient light shots in the hotel courtyard when it was decided that the room we were to shoot the portraits in was too small.
On a photo assignment at Gartner Ltd, Egham, today, my task to photograph 118 corporate portraits in a 40 minute lunch break. A quite liberating photoshoot in that one had to ditch the niceties and get down to business, reminded me of my old portrait studio days at Covershots International!
A thoroughly enjoyable little editorial photoshoot for Hallmark Care Homes on the creator of the Beanz Meanz Heinz slogan, Maurice Drake, who penned it in a Camden pub over 35 years ago. Photographed at the Maycroft Manor Carehome in Brighton.
Long day at the offices of Experience Labs, a leading usability and research testing facility based in Holborn. The brief was to represent the office work space interior and to produce photographs showcasing the environment and it’s staff through various working scenarios.
Today I had members of the Quality Team to photograph from the viewing deck at Battersea Park. The elements provided us with a on location wind machine and luckily I was masterfully assisted in the portraiture by Dina!
Interesting industrial environment to photograph in today for a magazine editorial…pity that all but one of the factory workforce was on holiday! Luckily I had my management team to sit for their portraits in the factory location.
Headshots taken at Keningtons Chartered Surveyors using my new Grey Lastolite collapsible background...first thoughts on this background is the convenience, but slightly surprised at the moire pattern I encountered from it. Not much of a retouch but a shock nonetheless from an expensive piece of photographic kit!
Mr Gary Illingworth sat for this shoot at the CQI Studio in Central London. We used studio lighting to pick him from the background and give his portrait presence and drama.
